Hebden Bridge is a vibrant, friendly town nestled in the stunning countryside of the South Pennines. Known in the 1800’s as ‘Trouser Town’ because of its abundence of trouser factories, it’s now full of independent shops, great pubs, bars and restaurants.
An influx of artists and writers in the 1960’s looking for an alternative way of life, mixed with its industrial heritage has made Hebden Bridge a unique place to be. And the town now has a lively arts and music scene. Situated in the heart of the Pennines it’s the perfect location for exploring the outdoors. The Pennine Way is on our doorstep as are endless walks and mountain bike trails.
The Zion Chapel apartment is situated on the hillside overlooking the town. Just a couple of minutes walk down the hill to the town centre, although be warned it takes longer to get back up! Re-charge your batteries with some retail therapy, maybe stopping at one of our excellent cafe’s when it all gets too much. Or go out for bracing walks in stunning countryside and enjoy the benefits of a local pint and pat yourself on the back.
